Great looking red wine wool scarf! I think another reason it took long is-- ribbing takes longer, because you have to keep moving the yarn back and forth between the needles. And the diagonal type ribbing takes a smidgen longer for every row, because you are moving the ribbing over, and doing a knit stitch on top of a purl stitch and other way around. The ribbing also makes it drape better around the neck, and gives it more depth, more yarn per square inch. That has to be so good for the lucky person who wears i
