TIME: Prep: 20 min. + resting Bake: 10 min.
Ingredients:
2 tablespoons active dry yeast
1 cup plus 2 tablespoons warm water (110° to 115°)
1/3 cup vegetable oil
1/4 cup sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon salt
3 to 3-1/2 cups all-purpose flour
Directions:
In a mixing bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water. Add oil and sugar; let
stand for 5 minutes. Add the egg, salt and enough flour to form a soft
dough. Turn onto a floured surface; knead until smooth and elastic,
about 3-5 minutes. Do not let rise. Divide into 12 pieces; shape each
into a ball. Place 3 in. apart on greased baking sheets. Cover and let
rest for 10 minutes. Bake at 425° for 8-12 minutes or until golden
brown. Remove from pans to wire racks to cool. Yield: 1 dozen.
My husband tried this recipe today. These buns are amazing. they are sooooo Yummy!!!!!!!!!!
I saw the yarn first, and liked the way that the colors, contrasted each other. Then a name for the mitten popped into my head, next came the design. Here is the result. This pattern can be found at http://www.freewebs.com/folkmittens
I have designed another Folk Mitten pattern. I call this one Madame de la Mer, that is French for Lady of the Sea.
This pattern is knit with worsted weight yarn, in 2 colors.

Banana Brownies
1 C. butter
6 ripe bananas
3/4 C. sugar
3/4 C. brown sugar
1 t. vanilla
3 eggs
3 C. flour
2 t. baking soda
1 t. salt
1 C. chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 350.
Cream butter. Add bananas, sugars, vanilla and eggs and mix well. Add flour, soda and salt and mix well. Mix in 1/2 C. of chocolate chips. Spread into greased 9x13 baking pan. Sprinkle the remaining 1/2 C. of chocolate chips on top.
Bake at 350 for 5 minutes. Use a knife to swirl in the melted chips on top. Return to oven and bake another 25-30 minutes. Cool and cut into squares.
I have designed another pair of Folk mittens. I call them Joie de Amour. That is French for Joy of Love. I used Lion Wool in the colors Ebony, and Rose. This pattern is available at www.freewebs.com/folkmittens
This is my second mitten design. I call it Joie de Vivre, that is French for Joy of Living. I am so happy with the way that this mitten turned out!!!!!!!
