Grandma's Potholders, and A little Lace kitchen Cloth
Mood:  happy

I knit these potholders, and dishcloths, and put them together to form a gift set. The pattern for the potholder can be found at http://www.potholderlady.com This is my very favorite potholder, I use this style all of the time. It is crocheted, and works up very fast. It is the perfect size, and thickness for a potholder. The Lace kitchen cloth can be found at http://docs.google.com/View?docid=dfxhvq2x_45cqhzdx   I used Bernat Handicrafter cotton ultrasoft in the color called summerset. I am going to use this potholder and dishcloth set as part of a gift for my husbands cousin, she is getting married in January.

Red Scarf Project
Mood:  cool
Now Playing: Feather and Fan scarf
I knit a red scarf for the Red scarf project. When I was looking through my yarn to knit this scarf I found that I had 3 skeins of red yarn. All 3 of them were different shades of red. I could not figure out a way to make all 3 of the reds work together so I decided that my scarf for this project would be red and white.
I told my 18 year old son about the Red scarf project, and he said to make sure that I knit a cool scarf. I guess that he didn't want any college students walking around with an un-cool scarf on.
I choose this pattern because I thought that it was cool. It is a fan and feather pattern. It was very easy to knit. The pattern can be found at

Diagonal garter stitch scarf
I used Lion Brand Landscapes yarn for this scarf in the color Raspberry Patch. I used size 11 needles, and did a simple Diagonal garter stitch to make this scarf. If I make this scarf again I think that I will put a border into the pattern. The scarf would have been a little wider with a border. It measures 5 1/2 inches wide, and is 57 1/2 inches long. I used 3 skiens of yarn to knit this scarf.

Frogging Again!!!!
Mood:  irritated
I can't believe it! I had cast on another sock with my size 1 needles, I was enjoying knitting the sock. I had 5 inches done on the leg of my sock. I got a phone call while I was knitting. After the call, I went back to knitting my sock. Well I did something wrong. I don't know what. I had to frog 2 rows on the sock. I tried to get going on the sock and it just would not come out right for me. So that is it. I am not going to do any more sock knitting until our January KAL. I am going to cast on something very, very simple like a pot holder or a dishcloth.

scarf for Mary
Mood:  happy
I cast on a pair of socks the other day, and it just wasn't working for me. So I frogged that sock. Then I choose another sock pattern to knit, that wasn't working out for me either. Even though I frogged that sock twice. I decided that the third time was not going to be the charm so. I went to my stash looking for something else to knit. I found some Lion Brand Yarn called Mystery. Have you seen this yarn? It is really kind of cool. Any way I cast 15 stitches on size 13 needles and knit up a quick scarf. It measures 6 inches wide, and is 53 inches long. I am going to give this scarf to my girlfriend Mary. I hope that she likes it.

Illusions scarf
Now Playing: Finally done!
I have finally finished my Illusions scarf . And just in time. It is very COLD today. With the wind-chill it is -7 this morning. I will need my scarf tonight when I walk Elvis. The scarf is 8 inches wide, and 51 inches long. This is called an Illusion scarf because it is a cable that really isn't a cable. It is flat. I used Red Heart Soft yarn. Which is very, very soft. The color is turquoise. I think that the color is so very pretty.

Eagle's Flight
Mood:  happy
Now Playing: size 1 dpn
This is the first time that I have used size 1 dpn, it is also the first time that I have knit socks with a pattern in them. All of the socks that I knit before were just stockinet st. I enjoyed knitting this pattern, and I also enjoyed using the size 1 dpn. I used Knit Picks yarn, the color Tropical for these socks.
On my needles next will be a dish cloth for an exchange in December. Then I will either get back to my Illusion scarf, or crochet a pair of slippers. I should really get the scarf done. It is getting colder out, and I need a scarf around my neck when I walk Elvis in the evenings.
The pattern for these socks can be found at http://www.ptyarn.com/eaglesflight.html
