Yarn Shopping

I went to Hobby Lobby today to look for yarn for the cabled scarf that I am going to make, and I choose Lion Brand Wool-Ease.The color Fuchsia. I also found some fun looking yarn called Yarn Bee, that I will probably use for a different scarf. but I am not real sure that is what I will use it for. It will sit in my stash for a while. The colors that I bought of Yarn Bee are Sweet Sun, and Frosted gold.

First Day of Fall
I will not be knitting again today, as I am still working on a name doily order. But I have already decided what I am going to knit after I have completed my felted bag. I am going to knit a cabled scarf. I have never done cables before so it will be a challenge for me. I think that I will buy the yarn for the scarf today. Nothing expensive, because I am not sure if I can do it. It is a beautiful chilly Fall morning. I just love mornings like this.

only a couple of rows done on my felted bag

I got an order for a name doily today, so I have to put my bag aside for a few days while I crochet this name doily. Today is the last day of summer. I am looking forward to Fall. I love the harvest season.

I can start my felted bag today. I am using Nature Spun yarn, the colors that I have picked are Cherry Delight, Deep Sea, and Impasse Yellow. I have decided that Cherry Delight will be the MC for my bag.

The mittens are done!

I have finished the mittens to match my scarf. I am so happy, now I can start my felted bag. I only have to decide which of my 3 colors for the bag, is going to be the main color. The pattern for these mittens came from the book knitting pretty. I used Lion Brand Landscarpes yarn, the color Rose Garden. I used size 4 dpn for the ribbing. And size 5 dpn for the hand of the mitten. But I think that with this weight yarn a size 5 was to small because, it is a very tight knit, and my arms hurt from working with, such a tight knit. But I love the mittens and the scarf. The pattern for the scarf was a free pattern which is at http://www.lionbrand.com/patterns/kmm-biasKnitScarf.html
It is a Bias scarf.

mittens taking longer then I expected

I thought that I would finish my mittens today, but the day is over half gone and I am not near half done with my mitten. I did not get as much knitting time in today as I thought that I would. Hopefully I will get them done tomorrow. I am really excited about starting my felted bag.

Scarf
This is the scarf that I made using Lion Brand Landsacpe yarn, the color that I used is Rose Garden.
I used size 13 needles to make this scarf.

I am currently working on a scarf and mittens using Lion Brand Landscape yarn for a scarf and mittens. As soon as I finish those, I will start my felted bag.
