Rabbit Tracks Lace Scarf
Mood:  happy
A lady named Alison inspired me to knit this scarf. I would read her blog, and listen to how she knit her scarves for people in her church congregation. She really loves doing this. People call her the scarf lady. So I took a look at her free patterns, and the Rabbit Tracks pattern appealed to me. I knit this scarf using size 13 needles, and Yarn Bee Soft Delight yarn, in the color green. The color doesn't show up well in the pictures but it is really Beautiful. The color is lime green, with pink, blue, and yellow running through it. This yarn is really a soft delight to work with. The pattern for this scarf can be found at
http://www.spindyeknit.com/patternfiles/rabbittracks/  I think that is will be a perfect Spring time scarf.

Chevron socks
Mood:  happy
I knit these socks for my oldest daughter Jeni. She will be 30 on February 15th. I got them done just in time. She will be stopping over later today, so I will give them to her today. I used Sockotta yarn. The color is Pink/Orange. This was an easy pattern to knit only a 2 row pattern repeat. I like the way that the pattern showed up with this yarn. The pattern can be found here at

Waterloose Socks
Mood:  happy
Now Playing: These socks are so sfot on my feet
I wanted to knit these Waterloose Socks, but I didn't have any DK weight yarn so I used Bernat Softee Baby in the color soft lilac. I am not sure how durable this yarn will be for socks , but they feel so soft on my feet and fit perfectly! I think that they are the best fitting socks that I have ever knit. The pattern is here at http://lionessdesign.dk/Waterloose_socks_by_Randi%20Knudsen.pdf
It is a simple feather and fan pattern and knits up pretty quick.

Broadripple socks
Mood:  happy
Now Playing: I can knit socks again!!
I was in a sock knitting slump. I just could not knit a sock. I bet that I cast on, and frogged 4 different pair of socks before I found a pattern that I could cast on and knit. These are the Broadripple socks. This is a very easy pattern. Knit on size 3 needles. Their are only 2 rounds in the knit pattern. I followed the pattern exactly for this sock until I got to the toe finishing. The day that I was finishing the toe on this sock. The show Knitty Gritty was on TV. I watched it, and on that show they just gathered the stitches together, and finished the toe like you would the top of a hat. So that is what I did. This is a very easy way to finish the toe of a sock. The heel on this sock is 3 inches long. That is a little to long for me, but I knit the heel just like the pattern said to, and I came out to be 3 inches. The pattern for this sock can be found at http://www.knitty.com/ISSUEsummer03/PATTbroadripple.html
I used Knit Picks yarn for these socks.
