Ring of Fire Hat
Mood:  happy
Now Playing: Fair Isle knitting

I have knit this Fair Isle hat for my husband. I am enjoying knitting these Fair Isle hats, and find them very easy to knit. The pattern for this hat can be found here http://cidermoon.com/cm0122.html

I used Rowan Tapestry yarn, and Nature Spun yarn, the color Eucalyptus

Fake Isle Hat
Mood:  cool

I knit this Fake Isle hat using Nashua Handknits Wolly Stripes, in the color Fuschia Bouquet. I was very pleased that this was an easy pattern to knit. It is the first time that I have knit this type of hat. The pattern can be found here at http://www.magknits.com/Nov06/patterns/fakeisle.htm

I am positive that the South Dakota winter wind will not be able to go through this hat. I am sure that it will be very, very warm.

Zig Zag Kitchen towel
Mood:  happy
Now Playing: quick to crochet
I was browsing around in the Ravelry pattern finder, and came across this little towel. It looked quick and easy. So I got my size G crochet hook out, and made this little towel yesterday. The pattern can be found at http://members.aol.com/JSchlossma/zzkt.html

Simple Shrug
Mood:  happy

I knit Caron's Simple Shrug. I really like the way that it turned out. It will be perfect to wear in the evenings when I am walking my dog Elvis. It is just a little something to slip over my shoulders while we go for our nightly walks.

I used Caron Simply Soft Shadows yarn, in the color Dark Moss. This is a free pattern. You can find it at

http://www.caron.com/projects/shadows/sss_shrug.html

If you make this project buy extra yarn. The pattern calls for 4 balls of yarn. I used 6 balls.

Casey and Grandma baked
Mood:  hug me

Quick and Easy Pecan Caramel Delights

1 bag halved pecans
1 bag Rolos candies
1 bag of mini pretzels (not sticks)

Preheat oven to 250F. Place pretzels on a baking sheet.
Unwrap Rolos and place one on each pretzel.

Bake in oven for no more than 5 minutes. Candies should be slightly soft, but not melted. Remove from oven and push a pecan into the center of each candy.

Refrigerate until firm. Will look like a small turtle.

Sleeve of my shrug
Mood:  not sure
Now Playing: Caron Simple Shrug

I am knitting the Caron Simple shrug. I have the first sleeve done. The pattern calls for 4 balls of this yarn. I bought 4 balls of this yarn, but I actually think that it may take 6 balls of yarn. I am going to have to go yarn shoping, and hope that I can get 2 more balls of this yarn.

Neckwarmer for Casey
Mood:  hug me
Now Playing: The winter set for Casey

I have finished Casey's neck warmer. This should keep her neck and her nose nice and warm this winter when she is snowmobiling with her Dad. I used a Lion Brand pattern Luxurious Neck-warmer. I used Red Heart yarn, the color pink camouflage. I am just sure that Casey will look so cute in this set.

Mittens for Casey
Mood:  hug me
Now Playing: 2 Needle Knit Mittens for kids

I knit my sweet Granddaughter Casey a apir of mittens to match her hat. I used Red Heart yarn, the color Pink Camouflage. She just loves that color, and wears a lot of pink camouflage clothing. The pattern for the mittens can be found here

http://www.bevscountrycottage.com/hatnmitts.html

They were easy to knit and worked up fast. Now I have cast on a neck warmer for her, to match her hat and mittens.
