Grandma's Gloves
Now Playing: I love this glove pattern
The gloves can be made to have a regular cuff or a loner cuff. I made the gloves with the longer cuff. I used Re Heart yarn, the color Cherry Red. The pattern came from http://www.bevcountrycottage.com/knitgloves.html
I am going to put these gloves away. They will be a gift, but I haven't decided who to give them to yet.

A pretty Hat for my Granddaughter Casey
Mood:  hug me
Now Playing: Bev's Basic Cozy Cap
My Granddaughter got a new red winter coat so I knit her a new red hat. I used the pattern Bev's Basic Cozy Cap. The pattern can be found at http://www.bevscountrycottage.com/bevbasichat.html I used 2 strands of Red Heart yarn the color Cherry Red for the Hat. For the ribbing on the hat I used 1 stand of red fuzzy yarn along with one strand of Red Heart cherry red. I also used the fuzzy yarn for the pom pom on the top of the hat. I am sure that she will love the hat. She loves every thing that I knit for her.

Another sweater for Elvis
Mood:  happy
Now Playing: I have found the PERFECT pattern
The pattern that I used for this sweater is at http://doggoneknit/?page_id=4 It is the One Piece Sweater Pattern for Small, Medium, and Large dogs. I made it in the small size for Elvis. He only weighs 13 lbs. And it fit him Perfectly. It closes with Velcro around the neck and around the tummy, so it is very, very easy to get on and off. I used Red Heart yarn in Cherry Red, and another variegated yarn. 2 strands held together so that the sweater would be warmer. This sweater was so easy to knit. That I will probably make him a few more in different colors. I love spoiling him.

New sweater for Elvis
Mood:  happy
Now Playing: The sweater is to BIG
I made another sweater for my pup Elvis. I used 2 strands of Red Heart yarn, the color Banana Blueberry held together. So that the sweater would be warmer. The pattern came from http://www.northtipton.com/hand_knitted_dog_coat.htm I thought that it would fit my Elvis, but it turned out to be to BIG. So I am going to give the sweater to my sister in law for her dog Mazey. I am sure that it will fit Mazey. I will have to try the pattern again some time, and make it smaller.

Beginner Easy Knit Hat
Now Playing: Hat for Dillon's girlfriend
I made this very simple for my son's girlfriend. I did have to add a bit of fun fur at the beginning of the hat. Seems like I add fun fur to everything lately. The pattern came from http://frugalknit12330.goeserv.com/homepage/behat.htm

Diagonal Pattern Baby Blanket
Mood:  special
Now Playing: I am going to be a Great Aunt
I am going to be a Great Aunt some time next July. So of course as soon as I heard the baby news I had to go yarn shopping, and knit a baby afghan. This is the first baby afghan that I have ever knit. I have crocheted many, many baby afghans. But never knit one. I chose a very easy pattern, and some very pretty baby yarn. The yarn that I used is called Red Heart Baby Clouds, the color is White Swirl. It turned out so pretty. I am sure that it will become a favorite blankey for the little one. The pattern came form http://cache.lionbrand.com/patterns/khs-diagonalBabyBlanket.html

Bev's REALLY Quick Knit Socks
Mood:  hug me
Now Playing: Socks for Casey
I have made another gift for my Granddaughter Casey. A pair of socks. This is the fastest sock pattern ever to knit up. I think that it probably took me 1 hour per sock. I used Red Heart dk plum for the socks, and to glitz them up a bit I used some left of gold glittery yarn that I have. Seems like I want to glitz up everything lately. The pattern for the socks came from http://www.bevscountrycottage.com/quicksocks.html

2 Needle Knit Mittens for Kids
Mood:  hug me
Now Playing: More mittens for my sweet Casey
My favorite person in the world to knit for is my Granddaughter Casey. I found a pattern for 2 needle mittens, for kids that I just love. The pattern can be found at http://www.bevscountrycottage.com/2-needlemitts.html . A really neat thing to do when you are knitting mittens. After they are finished. Brush the inside of the mitten to make them extra warm and fuzzy. I did that to this pair of mittens and it really worked. I know that my Granddaughter will just love these mittens.

No Knot Cravat
Now Playing: Another cold snowy day in South Dakota
I have a girlfriend named Mary. She has MS and her hands and arms don't work very well. They are very stiff and it is difficult for her to move them. I made this scarf for her. I used Yarn Bee Mosaic Twist, the color Fruity. She won't have to fiddle with this scarf, it should keep her neck nice and warm, and she won't have to worry about it falling off. It is a wool blend, so it will be washable, and warm at the same time. I hope that she likes it.
The pattern can be found at http://cu-needleworks.com/Patterns/No_knot_cravat/no_knot_cravat.html

Wrist Warmers
Mood:  happy
Now Playing: left over yarn
I had some left over yarn, and fun fur, and wanted to use the leftovers so I made a pair of wrist warmers. I used 2 strands of pink yarn held together. I used size 7 needles, and cast on 36. I knit with the yarn for 7 1/2 inches, then I added the fun fur and worked with the fun fur for 1/2 inch. I found that pattern at http://www.knitlist.com/01gift/wrist-warmers.htm
