Split Neck Raglan Sweater
Now Playing: Highland Thistle tam-o-shanter
I am knitting my 2nd real sweater. This sweater is going to be for me. I hope that it fits. This is the front and the back of the sweater. I am working on the sleeves I hope that I get the sweater finished next week. The pattern came from a free leaflet that I got at Hobby Lobby. The yarn recommended for this yarn is TLC Macaroon, but I am using Highland Thistle, in the color tam-o shanter. I hope that I am knitting this right , it doesn't look like much of a sweater now, it is a Split Neck Raglan sweater. So far the pattern hasn't been that hard to follow. I am a little worried about getting the collar right.

Dish Cloth Exchange
Mood:  happy
Now Playing: Thank you Busylady
I belong to a knitting/crochet group called Hooks and Needles. I joined the January Dishcloth exchange and received 2 lovely Dish clothes from Busylady. They are very pretty, and knit in my very favorite dish cloth pattern. I know that I will get years, and years of use from these . They are made of cotton and wear like iron. Thanks again Busylady.

Something for my Beautiful Granddaughter Casey
Mood:  hug me
Now Playing: Child's Poncho in Crochet
I have crocheted a Poncho for my Beautiful Granddaughter Casey Rae. I went to Hobby Lobby this weekend, and they had a sale on Yarn Bee yarn. 1/2 off, so of course I had to get my credit card out and have fun! Which I did indeed! One of my very favorite things to do is buy, touch, pet, and drool over yarn. I did just that. I also bought a pattern for a Child's Poncho. I just knew that my Granddaughter would love it. She loves everything that I make for her.
I did not use the recommended yarn for the pattern, I hardly ever do use the recommended yarn for any pattern. This pattern called for Fingering self striping sock yarn, but I used Yarn Bee Soft Delight in the color fuchsia. It is very, very soft. Perfect for my sweet Casey. In a nice girly color. The pattern is from Dovetail Designs. It is a very easy pattern. I crocheted the Poncho in 2 days.

2 needle socks
Now Playing: I have been knitting these socks since Dec 29th
I have been knitting these 2 needle socks since December 29th. It seems like they took forever. I used a size 2 needle. This is the first time that I have ever used a size 2 needle, and it is the first time that I have ever done a three needle cast off. I like the 3 needle cast off better then the kitchener st. The is also the first time that I have ever knit a pair of 2 needle socks. I think that I prefer the socks knit with double pointed needles. To many seams to sew with the 2 needle pattern. I used some yarn that I bought last summer while I was on vacation in the Black Hills, in Spearfish, South Dakota. The yarn is sock yarn called Reynolds swizzle. It is 75% Merino superwash, 25% Nylon. The pattern came from http://www.lindascraftique.com/free/tnsocks.htm
