Baby Hats
I have a knitting friend, that is getting another Grandchild soon. So I crocheted a couple of baby hats for her. The pattern for the hat can be found here
http://www.geocities.com/crochethut/babyswirls.html
It only takes about 1 hour to crochet this cute little hat. I enjoyed crocheting them.

Roll Brim Hat
I knit myself a hat. I need a warm hat for this winter when I walk my dog Elvis. This is a Roll Brim hat. I used Red Heart yarn the color is called Candy Print. The pattern came from http://www.booksyarnmore.com/store/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Store_Code=BYA...
I didn't take a picture of myself in the hat because I look dorky in hats. But I need something to keep my ears warm this winter.

Native American Support
Mood:
happy
I belong to a Native American support group. They are having a mitten blitz. Every one is to send their mittens to the reservation the first week of October. Our challenge was to knit 6 pair of mittens. These are the hand knit items that I am able to send to the reservation.

Swedish Apple Pie
Mood:
lazy
Swedish Apple Pie Butter a 9-inch pie pan. Fill with peeled and sliced apples mixed with 2 tablespoons sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon.
Mix 1 beaten egg
1 stick margarine
3/4 cup sugar
1 cup flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 cup chopped nuts
Drop this batter over the apples and spread out with a knife. Bake at 350 for 40 minutes or until brown and done.
For my pie I put it in a frozen pie shell. I did not just put my apples in the pie pan.

A sweater for my sister
Mood:
happy
Now Playing: colorblock pullover
I knit this sweater for my sister. I used Lion Brand yarn, Wool-Ease chunky. The colors are wheat, and willow. She picked out the pattern and the yarn. She has red hair so that is why she choose the willow color. She likes green. The pattern came from the Better Homes and Gardens .booklet knitted sweaters for her. The sweater has a boat neck, and 3/4 length sleeves.
I tried the sweater on so that you can see better what it looks like.

Sneak Peek
Mood:
happy
I have finished the front of my sisters sweater. What I like about this pattern is after you knit the front of the sweater, you take it off of stright needles, and put it on circular needles. After you have the back finished, you do a 3 needle bind off at the shoulders, then pick up the stitches for the sleeves. I think that makes nice shoulder seems.
I am using chunky yarn, and I just love the texture of this sweater. It is a boatneck sweater.
