I have finally did it. I have knit a sweater. I have been knitting for about 2 years when I first started knitting, I wanted to learn to knit socks. I did learn to knit socks, and I love hand knit socks. Then I wanted to learn to knit a sweater, I am knitted many things before I achieved that goal. I have been searching for an easy pattern for about a year. I finally found one that I thought that I could knit with out to much trouble, and got busy. The pattern can be found at http://www.dailyknitter.com/kelly.html I did not use the recommended yarn because it has 20% wool in it , and I can not wear wool. To itchy for me. I chose Red Heart Bright and Lofty, the color Beach. Now I am knitting a matching sweater for my dog Elvis we should make a very handsome pair!

I am so excited about knitting a real sweater, that I could not wait until it was finished to take a picture of it. I am using Red Heart Bright, and Lofty yarn. The color is called beach. I picked a very, very easy pattern. I hope that it fits when I am done with it.

Bev's Basic Cozy Cap. The pattern can be found at http://www.bevscountrycottage.com/bevbasichat.html I used 2 strands of Red Heart yarn the color Cherry Red for the Hat. For the ribbing on the hat I used 1 stand of red fuzzy yarn along with one strand of Red Heart cherry red. I also used the fuzzy yarn for the pom pom on the top of the hat. I am sure that she will love the hat. She loves every thing that I knit for her.
The pattern that I used for this sweater is at http://doggoneknit/?page_id=4 It is the One Piece Sweater Pattern for Small, Medium, and Large dogs. I made it in the small size for Elvis. He only weighs 13 lbs. And it fit him Perfectly. It closes with Velcro around the neck and around the tummy, so it is very, very easy to get on and off. I used Red Heart yarn in Cherry Red, and another variegated yarn. 2 strands held together so that the sweater would be warmer. This sweater was so easy to knit. That I will probably make him a few more in different colors. I love spoiling him.

I am going to be a Great Aunt some time next July. So of course as soon as I heard the baby news I had to go yarn shopping, and knit a baby afghan. This is the first baby afghan that I have ever knit. I have crocheted many, many baby afghans. But never knit one. I chose a very easy pattern, and some very pretty baby yarn. The yarn that I used is called Red Heart Baby Clouds, the color is White Swirl. It turned out so pretty. I am sure that it will become a favorite blankey for the little one.
