No time for knitting today
Mood:  energetic
My husband and I went to Sioux Falls today, and had a picnic at the Falls Park. It was just a BEAUTIFUL fall day. We really enjoyed ourselves.

Scarf
I stayed home all day today, and worked on my scarf. This evening I watched a movie and knit on my scarf. I have 31 inches done on it. I am doing it in a solid color. I should have done it in a variegated color, so that the diagonal in the scarf would show better. I may make another one variegated to see the difference. I am using Lion Brand Jiffy yarn the color plum, which I like but the diagonal just doesn't show up enough.

Scarf
Mood:  happy
I am knitting an Angus scarf. It is an Angular scarf. The one that I am knitting is called the Lang Tosca Version. It is knitted end to end in one piece. I have 11 inches done on the scarf so far. I am using Lion Brand Jiffy yarn. It is a very easy pattern and I love the way that the scarf looks.

The pattern is from the 60's or the 70's.

knit dish cloths
I have knit 2 dish clothes. I love hand knit cotton dish clothes. Because they are made of cotton and wear like iron. I used a variegated cotton yarn, in the colors, cream, green, and Burgundy. The patterns are Knitted Lacy Round Cloth , the URL for this dish cloth is
http://www.knittingknonsense.com/lacyround.html
The other cloth is called the Infamous Darrell Waltrip Cloth. The URL for this cloth is
http://www.knittingknonsense.com/DW_cloth.html
Both patterns were easy to knit, and worked up fast.

Ribbed Watch Cap
I finished the Ribbed watch cap that I was making for my son in law. He likes winter sports, and is a carpenter, building homes, so he is outside in the winter working. I thought that maybe this would keep his head warm. The pattern is very easy and works up fast. I used Galway Colornep yarn, the color is a dark plum. The URL for the pattern is at

I was going to crochet a ring next but the beads that I bought will not string onto the elastic thread that I bought. The holes in the beads are not big enough. I will have to find finer elastic thread. So I have decided to make a knit dish cloth instead. It is a circular dish cloth. I have never knit a circular dish cloth before.

Burrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!
Another chilly day today. I have 6 inches done on the hat that I am making. It is done on circular needles and is very easy. I bought the elastic thread and the pearls for my next project. It is a ring from the Groovy site. I think that the pattern is from the 70's.

Ribbed Watch Cap
I have finished my slippers, just in time. It is a very chilly day in South Dakota today. Only in the 40's. The slippers are keeping my toes nice and warm. I started a Ribbed Watch Cap using some yarn that I bought in a yarn shop in Spearfish, South Dakota when we went to the Black Hills this summer. It is a wool yarn called Galway Colornep, It is a worsted weight yarn, that is made in Peru.

Slippers for myself
It is very rainy in South Dakota today. And it is only going to get up in to the 60's. So it will be a nice day to stay in and knit. I have finished one of the slippers for myself. I am using the same pattern that I used for my Mothers slippers. Different color yarn, but the same type yarn. I placed an order with Knit Picks yesterday, and am looking forward to receiving it. I think that my next project will be a hat for my son in law, then I may felt another bag, or a pair of slippers. I will have to wait until I get my order form Knit picks to make up my mind what I will make.
