Ribbed Watch Cap
I have finished my slippers, just in time. It is a very chilly day in South Dakota today. Only in the 40's. The slippers are keeping my toes nice and warm. I started a Ribbed Watch Cap using some yarn that I bought in a yarn shop in Spearfish, South Dakota when we went to the Black Hills this summer. It is a wool yarn called Galway Colornep, It is a worsted weight yarn, that is made in Peru.

Slippers for myself
It is very rainy in South Dakota today. And it is only going to get up in to the 60's. So it will be a nice day to stay in and knit. I have finished one of the slippers for myself. I am using the same pattern that I used for my Mothers slippers. Different color yarn, but the same type yarn. I placed an order with Knit Picks yesterday, and am looking forward to receiving it. I think that my next project will be a hat for my son in law, then I may felt another bag, or a pair of slippers. I will have to wait until I get my order form Knit picks to make up my mind what I will make.

Warm and Fuzzy Slippers
Mood:  happy
I have finished my warm and fuzzy slippers. I used my very favorite pattern. The pattern is called Aunt Maggie's Slippers. They work up very fast, and when you use 2 strands of yarn, they are very warm. They fit great. The URL for the pattern is
http://www.bevscountrycottage.com/maggieslippers.html . I used one strand of Wool-ease The color Fuchsia, so that they would be warm, and 1 strand of Yarn Bee Frosting, the color frosted gold, so that they would be fuzzy. I am going to give these to my mother, and I am going to make another pair for my self right away. I just love the way that they turned out.

Warm and Fuzzy Slippers
I am knitting a pair of slippers using 1 strand of Lion Brand Wool-Ease the color Fuchsia, and 1 strand of Yarn Bee Frosting the color frosted gold. You can not see the Fuchsia at all when you use these 2 colors together.

Good Ole Cabled Scarf finished
I finished my cable scarf today. I had to frog it a couple of times. I don't know why I had a problem. I followed the pattern very carefully, and used a row counter. I used Lion Brand Wool-Ease yarn. The color fuchsia. The pattern came from

Mood:  d'oh
I had to frog a couple of inches on my scarf today. I have 23 inches done now. I hope that I can continue at the right row now, so that the scarf looks OK.

cable scarf
It is rainy and chilly in South Dakota this morning. My husband is going to make a pot of chili for us tonight. Sounds Good.
I have 12 inches done on my cabled scarf. It is going kind of slow for me, but I am enjoying the pattern. I think that this scarf will take me a while.

I have been knitting for almost 2 years, and I have shyd away from cabling because, I thought that it would be to difficult to do. But I found a scarf pattern with a cable in it, and tried. I liked it, the pattern is easy. I am so surprised.
